To be a reservoir of knowledge as well as a place of safety for all vulnerable groups such as women and girls, youth, and persons living with disabilities.  “A shelter for the persons living (infected and affected)

with HIV/AIDS and TB, survivors of mental health as well as GBVF.

OUR PURPOSE


The purpose of The House of Wellness is to empower all women, young girls and boys in targeted communities regarding the awareness of their health and quality improvement of their life. This will be achieved through an interactive and sustainable interaction following a comprehensive approach looking at economic, social, as well as spiritual needs.

OUR APPROACH


The House of Wellness offers an integrated approach, such as healing and therapeutic services, community visits, the provision of information and education (include training and awareness campaigns) as well as care and support programmes. The House of Wellness also realizes that the environments in which people live and work also impact on their well-being.

OUR OBJECTIVES

In order to achieve the aforementioned purpose, the following objectives were formulated.

Awareness

To create awareness on HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) as diseases that can affect anyone irrespective of social strata, however, putting a special focus to those vulnerable groups such as youth and women as well as persons living with disabilities 

Destigmatization

To destigmatize the stereotypes associated with both HIV/AIDS as TB

and STIs.

GBVF

To roll out programmes related with the awareness as well as the eradication of Gender Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF).
